ZEISS T* UV Filter \n\nQuality\nQuality High-quality glass featuring ZEISS T*® anti-reflective coating \n\nFlexibility\nHigh-fit accuracy for fast filter change. Can be used with a lens shade\n\nCompatibility\nIdeal for ZEISS lenses. Can be used with non-ZEISS lenses \n\nEffect \nOptimal protection of the front lens element and more clarity for your\nphotographs \n\nZEISS T* UV Filters block the invisible UV components of light from the sky, which can cause blur, loss of contrast or blue color cast. The correct color reproduction in normal daylight illumination spectrum remains unchanged. The ZEISS T* UV Filters will reliably suppress any color cast caused by an unusually high UV radiation in the light, e.g. in high altitudes (in the mountains), by the sea and in regions with very clean air. The T* UV Filters featuring the T* anti-reflective coating from ZEISS provide optimal protection for the front element of your lens. We recommend to use the ZEISS T* UV Filters at all times for protection purposes. \n\nZEISS Quality\nUsing a low quality filter optical effects might appear diminishing the quality of your picture. Especially fast lenses of long focal lengths need demanding polish quality of the filter to preserve the image sharpness. The high-quality glass is optically homogeneous and the surfaces are accurately plane to match perfectly for high-performance lenses.\nFilter Coating\nAll ZEISS T* UV Filters feature the T* anti-reflective coating. Special substances, one by one, are vaporized with very high energy in a high vacuum, which are then deposited on the glass surface as coatings with precisely controlled thicknesses to increase the transmission of visible light and achieve the desired reduction of reflections. The technology has been constantly improved since it was first applied by Carl Zeiss back in the 1930s.\nFilter Mount\nZEISS T* UV Filters are equipped with standard filter thread mounts with an additional front thread mount , e.g. to attach the standard lens cap. Due to their slim frame design they can be used on wide angle lenses, even on a full frame camera body, without vignetting. ZEISS T* UV Filters provide high-fit accuracy for fast filter change and can be used on lenses in combination with their dedicated lens shades.\nTransmission Curves\nZEISS T* UV Filters show a very steep edge at approximately 410nm so they block UV light of shorter wavelength completely. UV Filters have a nearly constant transmission within the range of visible light (between about 410nm and 700nm). So the filter appears completely clear and does not tamper the hue.
