Blind Sanibel Island Blind Pass Paperback

She built her window back from nothing with her own two hands. She never knew someone had been quietly holding the rope the whole time.At fifty-six, Della Forsythe runs the Sea Grape, the little walk-up coffee-and-key-lime window at Periwinkle Cove where half of Sanibel Island lines up at first light. She buried her husband Earl eight years ago and clawed the window back from a burned-out shack on her own, and that hard-won independence is the one thing she is sure of.Cap Wen Pruett has run his shelling charter, the Lady Lena, out of the cove slips for thirty years, and he has been quietly in love with his best friend's widow for almost as long. So when a smooth developer named Drake starts buying up the public boat basin for a gated marina club, Wen and Della end up shoulder to shoulder in the fight to save the cove, the slips, and the window that feeds the island. But the closer they get, the closer an eight-year-old secret comes to the surface, a promise Wen made to a dying man and what he quietly did about it without ever telling her. Now Della has to decide whether a love that started as a promise can become the realest thing she has ever had.A sweet, clean, slow-burn later-in-life romance with no spice and a guaranteed happily-ever-after. Welcome to Sanibel Island, where every book is a new couple, a fresh start, and a happy ending.
