The Freya Lindqvist Expeditions The Northglass Expedition

She charts the truth. He commands the lie. And the ice does not care whose authority is at stake.Freya Lindqvist has checked her readings three times, and the pressure ridge ahead of HMS Meridian is two miles closer than the Admiralty survey claims. At the speed the ship is making through the pack, that discrepancy will matter inside fourteen hours. Commander Ashworth hears her out with the pleasant, unhurried courtesy of a man whose decision was made before she finished speaking, because the survey she is correcting belongs to a serving officer of the Crown, and she is a contracted cartographer the crew calls "the mapmaker" when they are being polite.Freya has spent eight years in rooms where her presence was tolerated rather than welcomed, and she has never once let that stop her from recording what her instruments actually show. A chart is a promise made to every navigator who will ever use it, and Freya intends to keep hers, whether the Meridian's commander believes her or not.The Northglass Expedition opens The Freya Lindqvist Expeditions, a series of polar historical adventure about the woman who proves her worth through evidence while the ice runs out of patience for anyone's pride.Perfect for readers of rigorous historical adventure, polar survival fiction, and heroines who win through intelligence rather than rank.
