Disorders of the masticatory system are among the most common conditions, and because their multifactorial etiologies are unknown, the healing process remains controversial. The Department of Prosthodontics and Occlusodontics in Casablanca is the only center in Morocco dedicated to the treatment of temporomandibular disorders. The high volume of patients has prompted us to review the scientific literature-in accordance with the principles of evidence-based dentistry-regarding the quality and efficacy of these treatments, as well as to compare the various treatment options.
