Apologies that this is in English, my written Dutch is not very good.
We have had the TV for two months now, so I hope it is fairly insightful.
Ambilight is the real deal not just a gimmick. It certainly adds an extra dimension to watch films or sport. Very happy with this feature.
The set is well designed, and solid. Aesthetically the TV is beautiful and the ability to rotate is great.
Picture quality out the box is not great, I am no expert but I had to play around a lot with settings to get a good picture. I now have it set to my satisfaction, but I can't help but think that having the picture professionally calibrated would bring out the true potential of the screen. I have read on various forums that once well calibrated the picture is really immense.
Android interface is good, simple to use and effective, settings and menus are good, intuitive and simple to use.
Watching TV via a 4k KPN "ontvanger" is great. Netflix and prime apps (via KPN) work really well delivering HDR and 4K content as intended.
The Android apps are not great. A main reason for buying this TV was the claim that it supports all HDR (10, 10+, Dolby Vision etc). The TV really struggles with HDR content from apps such as Disney+. The screen size cannot be formatted and the picture cannot be changed. for example; Disney delivers content in 4k, HDR 10 and Dolby Vision, the picture is good but it would be nice to be able to watch it in full screen maybe with the option to choose 4k over HDR. You may also read elsewhere that the TV cannot support HDR on Disney+. I had this experience but it has been resolved with good customer support and firmware fixes from Philips.
The sound quality is generally good with the standard speakers. A lot better than expected with nice bass levels and clear voices.
Again the only problem is with the Disney+ app. The sound is awful and must be nearly maxed out to hear anything.
Great TV to use and great picture quality once settings are played with.
HDR content delivered well by external sources, Android apps, from the built in Android User Interface struggle with HDR and no ability to format picture size.
Disney+ is a great family streaming service but the TV struggles to deliver it effectively.
Great expert support from Philips for any issues.
