Perfect your art\n\nThe C Biogon T* 2,8/35 ZM will inspire you with uncompromising image perfection, even at full aperture. The “C” in the title indicates another outstanding feature: Unusual for a lens in this class, its speed of 1 : 2,8 allows for an exceptionally compact construction. With a focal length of 35 mm, it is incredibly versatile and its high performance and compactness make the C Biogon T* 2,8/35 ZM an ideal addition to your equipment. Whether you are traveling through impressive landscapes or visiting cities, compiling a news report or attending an event, this little all-rounder always proves a comfortable and reliable companion.\n\nMinimized Focus Shift\n\nCarl Zeiss T* ZM-mount lenses are specifically designed to minimize focus shift with aperture changes – an important innovation with big benefits for rangefinder photography. As a result, you can expect improved accuracy of the rangefinder-defined focus. While the precise 10-blade aperture with 1/3 stop interval click stops ensures exact exposure.\n\nExcellent image quality\n\nThe Carl Zeiss range of T* lenses offers the highest possible standards in terms of performance, reliability and, of course, image quality. Quite simply, they are superior in every way. You can count on highly advanced flare control for crisp and brilliant images, for example. And virtually zero geometric distortion, ensuring precise accuracy when reproducing shapes – especially useful when photographing products and architecture.\n\nCarl Zeiss T* anti-reflective coating\n\nAll lens elements in SLR lenses from Carl Zeiss feature the T* anti-reflective coating and an optical design that produces brilliant pictures even in unfavorable lighting conditions. We vacuum deposit very thin, transparent coats on the surfaces of the lens elements to make them anti-reflective. Special substances, one by one, are vaporized with very high energy in a high vacuum, which are then deposited on the glass surface as a coating with precisely controlled thicknesses to achieve the desired reduction of reflections. The first coatings were applied by Carl Zeiss back in the 1930s.\n\nSmooth, precise focusing\n\nManually focusing a lens means controlling the image result from your fingertips. A good ergonomic design makes all the difference. The user-friendly focusing ring on ZEISS lenses with an ergonomic finger rest is perfect for fast, precise focusing. Changes are immediately visible in the viewfinder. The high-quality focusing mechanism moves smoothly without play, thus also supporting the intuitive interaction with the focal plane.\n\nIdeal aperture properties\n\nPhotographers want to guide the observer through the image. Minimal depth of focus is often used as a design element. This keeps the background intentionally blurred to keep the attention of the observer on the main subject. The ZM lenses feature ten aperture blades. The almost circular aperture helps to create a particularly harmonious effect in the out-of-focus areas of the picture (bokeh).
